Thanks to team behind my Gadget Show games review page for getting me a preview copy of Tony Hawk’s: Ride with the much anticipated board peripheral. What you see in this review is my first five minutes of play. The hardware board has had mixed reviews online, which I have to say I understand; it’s not perfect, but as you’ll see from my brief experience with it, you can ollie and you can rail slide - first time! It’s no hardcore simulation, but as a fun, physical addition to the skating game genre, I think it’s successful. Enjoy!

Great review Jason, I’ve been looking for a completely new game to try and this may be the one, especially with Christmas coming.

Hey.
I personally used to skate, and still do, but even half as much as I used to, I BMX now.
I have to say though, on the game, I don’t really like the motion controller.
I think there should be an option for real life good skaters so you could actually kickflip the board and land that way.

Just a shame the tv adverT makes it look like the game comes with a projector to do that cool effect on the rug…..
