My first thought was-how long is the father going to stand there just continuously tapping the buttons and looking totally oblivious? and the boy gets the reading that he will actually live until at least 90 years! Great little clip. I wonder how many more people were in the line to get their reading?

That robot sounds rather exotic… it must have gotten itself one of those hoity-toity personality chips from the chop shop… ![]()

It’s just an old cassette tape in the robot isn’t it? It would be kinda cool if it could walk, although with the noise it makes, it’s probably best if it stays in one place!

I’ve just spotted ‘Puffin Books’ on the exhibitor listings. Clearly not a thing to do with the resident tech mecca but its presence on the list still made me smile.

Just got back from TGS Live! Had a brilliant Sunday, met the chaps from Tech Digest, almost got hired by Panasonic on the whim of my techno-lusting for stuff they’re just not doing yet… but sadly didn’t get to meet you Jase.
When you weren’t doing the shows you seemed mobbed by what I can only describe as ‘literary groupies’… I know, who knew?!
For what it’s worth though, I was in the very last Super Theatre show; blond, green ‘Nebraska’ slogan tee near the front wearing specs and with my headphones around my neck. Not that I expect you to remember fella, but you clocked me several times, so… ‘hi!’.
I’m also sans eyebrows now due to those ruddy great Sun guns. Good grief did they churn some heat!!!

@Chuck
It became quite clear during the live show that Dallas didn’t actually leave TGS; he was instead accidentally atomised by a not-quite-so controlled explosion.
Best of luck with that whole ‘mortality thing’ Ortis!

Lovin’ the comments. And yeah, the video is cool. I’m imagining a Japanese version for book 3 - could be really philosophical. Hmmm
