Found this. From British designers Barry Sheehan and Gregor Timlin - the Shelter Cart. Designed as a way of raising awareness of homelessness. Genius. Also see Greg’s more recent Speaker Head & Chopper Light (you’ll just love them!) www.gregortimlin.com

Adam has a point, but its a good invention. I like the idea of it.
Onto his other inventions, wow. But the best has got to be the chopper light, i could play with it for hours on end, and with the state of hospital waiting times, the NHS needs to invest.

I love this idea. Yes ,”who going to pay for it” but if these things where up and down the country could we ever just be able to walk on by without realising a cities homesless problem? No way not with enourmous yellow shells everywhere.
But the real thing is the protection and possibilities for income that it would engender.
Shame its not taken up by some philanthropist.

I can see a completely different use for this - for music festivals! Use it to cart all your booze & gear on site, enjoy the weather-proof secure accomodation, then leave it behind to go to charity (as currently happens to loads of tents etc abandoned at festivals).
All it needs is a light inside, a lock (or lockable box) and some way of pegging it down.

Thanks Adam!
I got the idea from noticing:
1. many people arrive at festivals with their gear on a trolley/barrow/sled
2. many festivals offer eco-friendly “pod” acomodation, in pods pre-erected on site for you - e.g. http://www.myhab.com/
If anyone is concerned that my suggestion might spoil a purely charitable venture by making it a commercial mass-market proposition, I would say that this is simply a way of raising funds to achieve the charitable aims.
And if you want any volunteers to test the idea at a festival then I myself intend to be at Tartan Heart, Connect and others next year!

Nice idea.
Is it going to be free? If so, who’s going to foot the bill?
